The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service is the largest outreach program at North Carolina State University. Based in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, we reach millions of North Carolina citizens each year through local centers in the state’s 100 counties and with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
Beaufort County Economic Development (BCED) is a department of the Beaufort County government established to facilitate the creation of new and better jobs and investments within Beaufort County.
The Building Inspections Department inspects all building and structures and work therein for which a permit of any kind has been issued as often as necessary in order to determine whether the work complies with guidelines set forth in the North Carolina State Building Codes.
The Planning Department provides planning, technical assistance, and grant development and administration on a cost for services or grant basis. The Department provides advisory and administrative support to the Planning Board.
Soil & Water
The Beaufort Soil and Water Conservation District has the responsibility of conserving soil, water, and related natural resources within the District's boundary.
