Behavioral Health (Counseling & Psychiatric Services)

Mental health is just as important as our physical health. Counseling and Psychiatric services are available to help you, your family, and friends walk through whatever troubles you may be facing.

Breast & Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP)

Breast and cervical cancer screenings are provided for women, 40 to 64 years  of age, who do not have Medicaid, Medicare Part D, or private insurance and meet the financial criteria.

Care Management for At-Risk Children

Care Management for At-Risk Children is a program to assist families in identifying and accessing services to meet their child’s special health care and developmental needs.

Communicable Disease Services

Beaufort County Public Health Department is required by law to investigate and follow-up on all suspected or confirmed communicable diseases or conditions.

Family Planning

Counseling, education, and various methods of birth control are provided for the female populations within the childbearing years.

Healthy Beginnings

The Healthy Beginnings Program is for pregnant African American and Latino women and families living in Beaufort County.

Care Management for High-Risk Pregnancies

Care Management for High-Risk Pregnancies is a free and voluntary program to help promote healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. This program is offered to pregnant women who qualify for Medicaid.

Prenatal Care

Comprehensive prenatal care and support services are offered to pregnant women residing in Beaufort County. 

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Beaufort County Public Health Department provides confidential screenings for sexually transmitted infections and HIV at no charge.
